Cross Island Chapel, located on Mason’s Pond in Oneida, New York, is a small non-denominational church built in 1989. Measuring just over four feet by nearly seven feet, it is widely considered one of the smallest churches in the world. Its position on a small dock within the pond gives it a quiet, isolated presence, surrounded by still water and dense woodland.
The chapel is shown closer in view, with its white walls and simple structure clearly defined. A cross stands on a small island nearby, adding a second focal point within the frame. The surrounding greenery forms a dense backdrop, while the still water creates a calm, uninterrupted surface.
