The grey squirrel (Sciurus carolinensis) is a common and highly adaptable species across the United Kingdom, frequently seen in parks, gardens, and woodland areas. Introduced from North America in the late 19th century, it has become firmly established, thriving in both urban and rural environments. Known for its agility and climbing ability, it spends much of its time moving through trees in search of food such as nuts, seeds, and fruit.
Clinging vertically to the bark of a tree trunk, the squirrel stretches downward with its body extended and tail aligned along the bark. Its sharp claws grip the textured surface, highlighting its climbing ability, while the soft, blurred green background suggests a woodland setting. The composition draws the eye along the length of the animal, emphasising both movement and form against the natural texture of the tree.

Optional lamination is available in satin or gloss to match your selected paper, providing extra protection against moisture and handling. However, lamination is not recommended for Fine Art Matt paper, as it will obscure its authentic texture.
