The grey squirrel (Sciurus carolinensis) is a common and highly adaptable species across the United Kingdom, frequently seen in parks, gardens, and woodland edges. Introduced from North America in the late 19th century, it has become well established, thriving in both rural and urban environments. Recognised by its bushy tail and alert, upright stance, it feeds on a varied diet of nuts, seeds, and other readily available food sources.
Facing forward, the squirrel sits upright on short grass, its front paws held close to its chest and its tail stretched out behind. The symmetrical stance gives a direct, almost inquisitive presence, while the soft grey fur contrasts against the vivid green background. Optional lamination is available in satin or gloss to match your selected paper, providing extra protection against moisture and handling. However, lamination is not recommended for Fine Art Matt paper, as it will obscure its authentic texture.
