The meerkat (Suricata suricatta) is a small member of the mongoose family, native to southern Africa. Living in highly social groups, meerkats are known for their cooperative behaviour, particularly when it comes to foraging and vigilance. One individual often takes on the role of lookout, standing upright to scan for predators while others feed. Their keen eyesight and alert posture make them well suited to life in open, arid environments.
Standing upright on a rock, the meerkat is shown in its classic sentinel pose, body elongated and head raised. Its sandy fur blends with the warm-toned background, while fine detail is visible along the coat and facial features. Each print is mounted onto black, 3mm Foamex - an ultra-durable, moisture-resistant PVC substrate that remains lightweight yet rigid. Perfect for displaying on an easel or mounting with the included Velcro strips, without the need for framing.

Optional lamination is available in satin or gloss to match your selected paper, providing extra protection against moisture and handling. However, lamination is not recommended for Fine Art Matt paper, as it will obscure its authentic texture.
