The grey squirrel (Sciurus carolinensis) is a well-established species across the United Kingdom, commonly seen in parks, gardens, and woodland areas. Introduced from North America in the late 19th century, it has adapted successfully to a wide range of environments. Known for its dexterity and alert behaviour, it feeds on nuts, seeds, and other readily available food sources, often foraging close to human activity.
Perched upright on a grassy lawn, the squirrel holds food between its front paws, its body elongated and balanced by a long, bushy tail resting behind. The soft grey tones of its fur contrast gently with the vibrant green grass, while its forward-facing posture gives a clear, engaging view of its features. Optional lamination is available in satin or gloss to match your selected paper, providing extra protection against moisture and handling. However, lamination is not recommended for Fine Art Matt paper, as it will obscure its authentic texture.
