Durham Castle in County Durham, England is a Norman fortress dating back to the 11th century, originally built to defend the region following the Norman Conquest. Over time, it evolved from a military stronghold into a place of residence and learning, and since 1840 it has been continuously occupied by University College, part of Durham University. As part of the Durham World Heritage Site, alongside the cathedral, it represents a significant piece of England’s architectural and cultural history.
This image captures the entrance gateway to the castle, approached along a straight cobbled path framed by lush green trees. The symmetry of the composition draws the eye toward the arched gateway, while the surrounding foliage softens the stone architecture and adds depth to the scene.

Optional lamination is available in satin or gloss to match your selected paper, providing extra protection against moisture and handling. However, lamination is not recommended for Fine Art Matt paper, as it will obscure its authentic texture.
