Inner Farne, part of the Farne Islands off the Northumberland coast, is home to Inner Farne Lighthouse and the remains of St Cuthbert’s Chapel. The island has long been associated with both maritime safety and early Christian history, where isolation and exposure to the sea have shaped its character. The lighthouse continues to serve as a navigational aid, while the chapel marks a site of historical and spiritual significance.
The island stretches low across the horizon, with the lighthouse and the tops of the chapel just visible above the rocky ground. The sea fills the foreground with textured movement, while the sky remains soft and lightly clouded. The composition keeps the structures small within the wider scene, emphasising distance and scale.

Optional lamination is available in satin or gloss to match your selected paper, providing extra protection against moisture and handling. However, lamination is not recommended for Fine Art Matt paper, as it will obscure its authentic texture.
