Built between 1835 and 1838, Trwyn Du Lighthouse, also known as Penmon Lighthouse, stands off the eastern tip of Anglesey between Black Point and Ynys Seiriol (Puffin Island). Positioned in a narrow channel with strong tidal currents, it was constructed to guide vessels safely through this challenging stretch of water. Its distinctive black and white bands make it a recognisable landmark along the North Wales coastline.
