Dolbadarn Castle stands above Llyn Padarn at the base of the Llanberis Pass, its origins dating to the early 13th century when it was likely built by the Welsh prince Llywelyn the Great. Positioned to guard an important mountain route, the castle later fell into the hands of Edward I in 1284, who repurposed some of its materials for the construction of Caernarfon Castle. Over time, it shifted from fortress to manor house before falling into ruin, eventually becoming a popular subject for artists during the 18th and 19th centuries.

Optional lamination is available in satin or gloss to match your selected paper, providing extra protection against moisture and handling. However, lamination is not recommended for Fine Art Matt paper, as it will obscure its authentic texture.
