Absolutely wonderful photo! I bought it for my grandson but my daughter loved it so much that we decided it would be a waste to put it on his bedroom wall. The quality and detail demands a place where everyone can see it. I would definitely recommend this to family and friends. Thank you for the quick delivery too! - Janet T., Sheffield
Scottish Castles mounted foamex print - lightweight, contemporary and available up to 30in x 20in.
The view from within Strome Castle, looking out across Loch Carron, creates a striking and atmospheric focal point. The stone arch frames the landscape naturally, adding depth and structure while guiding the eye toward the distant islands. Well suited to living rooms, studies or hallways, this piece offers a refined combination of historic architecture and Highland scenery.
Strome Castle, a ruined stronghold on the west coast of Scotland, overlooks Loch Carron with far-reaching views toward the islands of Scalpay, Raasay and Skye. Built in the 15th century, it was once a seat of the MacDonald Lords of the Isles before later passing into the hands of the Mackenzies. Its position made it strategically important, controlling movement along the loch and acting as a defensive point in a region shaped by clan rivalries and shifting allegiances.
The castle was eventually abandoned and partially destroyed in the early 17th century, leaving behind the skeletal stonework seen today. In this view, the landscape is framed through one of the castle’s remaining window openings, creating a natural arch that draws the eye out across the loch. The textured stone contrasts with the softer tones of water and distant hills, while the overcast sky adds a quiet, atmospheric mood. The composition blends history and landscape, offering a glimpse from within the ruin itself.
Enjoy a premium photographic print with three paper options, each designed to suit different lighting conditions and artistic preferences:
Each print is mounted onto black, 3mm Foamex - an ultra-durable, moisture-resistant PVC substrate that remains lightweight yet rigid. Perfect for displaying on an easel or mounting with the included Velcro strips, without the need for framing.
Supplied without a border unless otherwise specified.
Optional lamination is available in satin or gloss to match your selected paper, providing extra protection against moisture and handling. However, lamination is not recommended for Fine Art Matt paper, as it will obscure its authentic texture.

I'm absolutely made up with the print I received from Real World Art. I went for the Koi Carp image - It's very evocative and they've totally captured the serenity you feel watching Koi. You can almost hear the babbling water! What's more, it's a top quality print, pin-sharp and looks great framed up. Couldn't recommend them any higher.. lovely to deal with.. thank you.
