The Church of the Virgin of the Burgh sits quietly in the heart of Rhodes Old Town, its arched ruins a silent witness to centuries of change. Today, only the skeletal remains of its pointed arches and stone walls remain, but they're hauntingly beautiful. The church was badly damaged during World War II, and what's left has been carefully preserved as a historic site. Despite the passing of time, it still draws photographers and wanderers who stumble across it while exploring the medieval streets.
