The Church of the Virgin of the Burgh sits quietly in the heart of Rhodes Old Town, its arched ruins a silent witness to centuries of change. Built in the 14th century during the time of the Knights Hospitaller, it was once a grand Gothic church. Today, only the skeletal remains of its pointed arches and stone walls remain, but they're hauntingly beautiful. The church was badly damaged during World War II, and what's left has been carefully preserved as a historic site.
