The pied tamarin (Saguinus bicolor) is a small primate native to the Amazon rainforest, most notably around the region of Manaus in Brazil. Recognised by its contrasting white upper body and darker limbs, it is one of the more distinctive tamarin species. Pied tamarins are highly social animals, living in small groups and moving through the forest canopy in search of fruit, insects, and tree sap. Due to habitat loss, the species is considered endangered, making it an important focus for conservation efforts.
Perched along a slender branch, the tamarin crouches low with its body compact and tail hanging vertically beneath. Its pale fur contrasts sharply with its dark face and limbs, while the long tail adds a strong visual line through the composition. The background is softly blurred in muted green tones, suggesting dense woodland while keeping the focus on the animal’s form and expression.

Optional lamination is available in satin or gloss to match your selected paper, providing extra protection against moisture and handling. However, lamination is not recommended for Fine Art Matt paper, as it will obscure its authentic texture.
