Many butterfly species begin life as caterpillars before forming a chrysalis, or pupa, in which they undergo metamorphosis into their adult form. During this stage, the outer casing protects the developing insect as it transforms internally. The shape and colour of a chrysalis often help it blend into surrounding vegetation, providing a degree of camouflage from predators.
Suspended beneath a leaf, the chrysalis hangs in a teardrop shape, its smooth green surface closely matching the surrounding foliage. Fine details are visible along the edges of the leaves, while the background falls away into a soft blur of darker greens. Optional lamination is available in satin or gloss to match your selected paper, providing extra protection against moisture and handling. However, lamination is not recommended for Fine Art Matt paper, as it will obscure its authentic texture.

I'm absolutely made up with the print I received from Real World Art. I went for the Koi Carp image - It's very evocative and they've totally captured the serenity you feel watching Koi.
