The zebra longwing butterfly (Heliconius charithonia) is a well-known tropical species, easily identified by its long wings and bold striped pattern. Found in warm climates across the Americas, it is adapted to feeding on both nectar and pollen, which provides additional nutrients and contributes to its extended lifespan. Its striking markings act as a warning to predators, indicating that it is unpalatable.
Resting on a leaf with its wings partially open, the butterfly reveals more of its elongated shape and patterned surfaces. The alternating dark and pale stripes create strong visual contrast, while the surrounding foliage is softly blurred. The composition captures both detail and structure, with the leaf providing a natural base for the subject.

Optional lamination is available in satin or gloss to match your selected paper, providing extra protection against moisture and handling. However, lamination is not recommended for Fine Art Matt paper, as it will obscure its authentic texture.
Zebra Longwing Butterfly butterfly foam backed prints are printed to order and usually shipped within 3-4 business days. Please allow a further 2-3 days from the despatch date to receive your item (not including weekends or bank holidays).

I'm absolutely made up with the print I received from Real World Art. I went for the Koi Carp image - It's very evocative and they've totally captured the serenity you feel watching Koi.
