Poldice Mine near Todpool in Cornwall was worked from the early 1500s through to 1930, producing tin, copper, and arsenic during its long operational life. As one of many sites that formed Cornwall’s mining industry, it reflects centuries of extraction that shaped both the landscape and local communities. Following its closure, structures such as engine houses and chimneys were left behind, becoming enduring markers of the region’s industrial past within a now-quiet countryside.
