Cornish Tin Mines mounted foamex print - lightweight, contemporary and available up to 30in x 20in.
The upward perspective and dramatic sky make this image well suited to interiors that favour atmosphere and strong visual presence. Ideal for living rooms, offices, or hallways, it complements neutral and earthy tones while adding depth and a sense of scale.
Wheal Unity Wood Tin Mine near St Day in Cornwall forms part of the region’s extensive mining heritage, where tin extraction played a central role for centuries. Engine houses such as this once housed the machinery needed to pump water and support underground workings, their tall chimneys venting steam from powerful engines. As mining declined, these buildings were abandoned, leaving behind a distinctive industrial landscape that still defines much of Cornwall’s character today.
The stone engine house rises from dense vegetation, its chimney extending into a dramatic, cloud-filled sky. The structure is framed by low greenery, while the shifting light within the clouds creates contrast and emphasises the height and solidity of the building.
Enjoy a premium photographic print with three paper options, each designed to suit different lighting conditions and artistic preferences:
Each print is mounted onto black, 3mm Foamex - an ultra-durable, moisture-resistant PVC substrate that remains lightweight yet rigid. Perfect for displaying on an easel or mounting with the included Velcro strips, without the need for framing.
Supplied without a border unless otherwise specified.
Optional lamination is available in satin or gloss to match your selected paper, providing extra protection against moisture and handling. However, lamination is not recommended for Fine Art Matt paper, as it will obscure its authentic texture.
