Fantastic artwork, great service, from ordering to delivery - Alyson Key
Cornish Tin Mines mounted foamex print - lightweight, contemporary and available up to 30in x 20in.
With its curved path and open setting, South Wheal Frances Mine creates a balanced and inviting focal point suited to heritage-inspired interiors. Ideal for living rooms, studies, or feature walls, it pairs well with neutral tones and natural textures, adding a sense of place and history.
South Wheal Frances is a former copper and tin mine on the Great Flat Lode, just south of Camborne, Cornwall, and was the largest of the four setts that eventually amalgamated under the umbrella of Basset Mines Ltd.
Mining began in the local area in the early 1720s and by the early 20th century, several thousand men, women, bal maidens and children worked in the mine, however a slump in tin prices during World War I led to the mine's closure in 1918. Once part of a network of mines that shaped the Cornish landscape and economy, the remaining engine houses and chimneys now stand as reminders of 19th-century mining activity. These structures were built to house steam engines used for pumping water and raising ore from deep underground.
The engine house is shown from a slightly wider perspective, with the path curving gently through the foreground toward the building. The tall chimney rises above the roofline, while surrounding greenery frames the scene. Soft light and scattered clouds add depth to the sky, enhancing the contrast between the structure and its setting.
Enjoy a premium photographic print with three paper options, each designed to suit different lighting conditions and artistic preferences:
Each print is mounted onto black, 3mm Foamex - an ultra-durable, moisture-resistant PVC substrate that remains lightweight yet rigid. Perfect for displaying on an easel or mounting with the included Velcro strips, without the need for framing.
Supplied without a border unless otherwise specified.
Optional lamination is available in satin or gloss to match your selected paper, providing extra protection against moisture and handling. However, lamination is not recommended for Fine Art Matt paper, as it will obscure its authentic texture.

Excellent Print arrived - High Quality - Very professional - Correspondence with Carol was helpful & informative. Would highly recommend Realworldart.
Absolutely wonderful photo! I bought it for my grandson but my daughter loved it so much that we decided it would be a waste to put it on his bedroom wall. The quality and detail demands a place where everyone can see it. I would definitely recommend this to family and friends. Thank you for the quick delivery too!
Brilliant! My print is beautiful. I initially ordered the wrong product due to my own error but Carol was so supportive and helpful I cannot recommend her/this company enough.
