The Convent of Christ in Tomar reflects centuries of architectural development, with its cloisters and arcades showcasing the craftsmanship of the late medieval and early Renaissance periods. Built under the influence of the Knights Templar and later the Order of Christ, the complex became a centre of both religious life and national importance. Its decorative stonework, particularly in the cloistered walkways, highlights the intricate detailing associated with Manueline design.
