The Nether Largie Standing Stones in Kilmartin Glen, Argyll, are part of a prehistoric landscape dating back around 5,000 years. This area contains one of the highest concentrations of ancient monuments in Scotland, including burial cairns, stone circles, and rock carvings. The stones are thought to have been placed with purpose, possibly aligned with seasonal or ceremonial significance, offering insight into the beliefs and practices of early Neolithic communities who lived and gathered here.
