The Nether Largie Standing Stones in Kilmartin Glen, Argyll, form part of one of Scotland’s most significant prehistoric landscapes. Dating back around 5,000 years, these stones are aligned within a wider ritual complex that includes burial cairns, stone circles, and ancient rock carvings. Kilmartin Glen is often regarded as one of the richest archaeological areas in Britain, where the positioning of stones is thought to have held ceremonial or astronomical meaning, reflecting the beliefs and practices of Neolithic communities.
