The old stone bridge at Invermoriston was designed by Thomas Telford in the early 19th century, crossing the River Moriston as it flows through a narrow, rocky gorge. Built as part of improvements to Highland transport routes, the bridge now stands as a historic landmark, overlooking the fast-moving waters below. The surrounding woodland and rock formations add to the character of this well-known location.
The scene centres on the single-arch bridge spanning the river, with water swirling through the gorge beneath it. Smooth rock surfaces and layered stone frame the flow, while dense greenery surrounds the structure.
