The moon jellyfish (Aurelia aurita) is one of the most widespread jellyfish species, found throughout the world’s oceans and commonly present in UK waters. Known for its translucent, dome-shaped bell and slow, drifting movement, it typically grows to around the size of a dinner plate. Composed of around 95% water, it has no brain, blood, or heart, moving passively with ocean currents as it feeds on plankton and small marine organisms.
Three jellyfish are arranged against a deep black background, their forms rendered in monochrome. One occupies the upper portion of the frame with a smooth, softly lit bell, while two others sit below, partially overlapping and revealing detailed internal structures. The tonal contrast highlights fine textures and radial patterns, creating a layered composition with a clean, sculptural quality.

Optional lamination is available in satin or gloss to match your selected paper, providing extra protection against moisture and handling. However, lamination is not recommended for Fine Art Matt paper, as it will obscure its authentic texture.
