The moon jellyfish (Aurelia aurita) is one of the most widespread jellyfish species, found in oceans around the world and commonly seen in UK coastal waters. Typically growing to around the size of a dinner plate, it is recognised by its translucent bell and faint internal structures. Composed of around 95% water, jellyfish have no brain, blood, or heart, drifting with currents and feeding on plankton and small marine organisms.
Here, a single moon jellyfish is isolated against a deep black background, its softly glowing bell illuminated in cool blue tones. Long, delicate tentacles trail downward in fluid lines, creating a sense of movement despite the still frame. Optional lamination is available in satin or gloss to match your selected paper, providing extra protection against moisture and handling. However, lamination is not recommended for Fine Art Matt paper, as it will obscure its authentic texture.
