The King’s Caves on the Isle of Arran are a series of coastal caverns carved into red sandstone cliffs by centuries of wave action. Located along the island’s western shoreline, the caves are closely linked to local history and legend, with their formation shaped by the constant interaction between sea and rock. They are said to have been a refuge of Robert the Bruce and one of several locations in which it is said he had his famed encounter with a spider.
A single cave opening sits within the cliff face, its dark interior contrasting with the warmer tones of the surrounding rock. The foreground is scattered with stones and pebbles, leading the eye toward the entrance. Soft light across the scene highlights the layered texture of the cliff while the sea remains visible to one side.

Optional lamination is available in satin or gloss to match your selected paper, providing extra protection against moisture and handling. However, lamination is not recommended for Fine Art Matt paper, as it will obscure its authentic texture.

Absolutely wonderful photo! I bought it for my grandson but my daughter loved it so much that we decided it would be a waste to put it on his bedroom wall.
