Meet the elegant red-crested pochard - or more specifically, the more understated but no less beautiful female of the species. While the males sport bold red beaks and dramatic crests, the females are more subtly coloured in warm browns and soft greys - perfect for blending in among reeds and water plants.
These freshwater ducks are commonly found in Europe and Asia, and they love a peaceful paddle across calm lakes and ponds. They're dabbling ducks, which means they feed mostly by tipping forward to nibble at plants just beneath the surface.

Optional lamination is available in satin or gloss to match your selected paper, providing extra protection against moisture and handling. However, lamination is not recommended for Fine Art Matt paper, as it will obscure its authentic texture.
Female Pochard duck foam backed prints are printed to order and usually shipped within 3-4 business days. Please allow a further 2-3 days from the despatch date to receive your item (not including weekends or bank holidays).
