Cauldron Falls, also known as West Burton Falls, lies on Walden Beck in the village of West Burton near Leyburn in North Yorkshire. This well-known Yorkshire Dales waterfall has long been a focal point within the village, easily reached by a short walk from the green. The falls cascade over a broad rock ledge into a series of shallow pools, their name reflecting the churning, cauldron-like movement of water below. Surrounded by woodland, it has been a place of quiet retreat for generations, with its setting changing subtly through the seasons.
