Uig Tower, also known as Captain Fraser’s Folly, is a 19th-century structure built around 1860 near the village of Uig on the Isle of Skye. Like many follies of the period, it was constructed more for appearance than function, adding a distinctive architectural feature to the landscape. Positioned on elevated ground, it overlooks the surrounding coastline and open water beyond.
The tower stands on a grassy hillside, with a small building nearby and trees framing the right-hand side of the scene. Beyond it, the sea stretches toward distant hills under a muted, cloud-filled sky.
