The Falls of Rha is a double waterfall hidden within woodland near the village of Uig on the Isle of Skye. Accessed via a short and often overlooked path from the Kilmuir road, it offers a quieter and more secluded setting than many of the island’s better-known locations. The falls descend in two stages through a narrow rocky gorge, surrounded by dense vegetation.
This composition frames the waterfall within a canopy of trees, with the upper cascade feeding into the lower drop and pool below. The surrounding foliage encloses the scene, while the dark rock provides contrast against the flowing water. The vertical structure of the falls and trees emphasises height and draws the eye through the centre of the image.
