The moon jellyfish (Aurelia aurita) is one of the most widespread jellyfish species, found throughout the world’s oceans and commonly seen in UK coastal waters. Like all jellyfish, it is composed of around 95% water and has no brain, blood, or heart, relying on ocean currents to move and feed on plankton and small marine life.
