The black-chested buzzard-eagle (Geranoaetus melanoleucus) is a large raptor native to South America, commonly found across open landscapes such as grasslands, mountainous regions, and coastal areas. It is recognised for its contrasting plumage, with darker upperparts and a pale underside, as well as its broad wings and steady, soaring flight. This species is a skilled hunter, feeding on small mammals, birds, and reptiles, and is often seen perched in elevated positions surveying its surroundings.
Standing upright, the eagle faces forward with a composed and watchful presence. Its pale chest contrasts with the darker feathering across the shoulders and wings, while fine feather detail is visible along the body. Strong yellow legs and talons anchor the bird firmly, and the softly darkened background keeps the focus on its form, creating a clean and structured composition.

Optional lamination is available in satin or gloss to match your selected paper, providing extra protection against moisture and handling. However, lamination is not recommended for Fine Art Matt paper, as it will obscure its authentic texture.
