The herring gull (Larus argentatus) is a well-known coastal species throughout the UK, recognised for its pale plumage and strong, adaptable behaviour. Often associated with seaside environments, it thrives along cliffs, beaches, and harbours, as well as inland locations.
Facing forward, the gull looks directly toward the viewer, its body slightly rounded and balanced on the rock. The surrounding vegetation softens the foreground, while the blurred sea provides a clean backdrop. The composition centres on the bird’s expression, creating a simple and direct view.

Optional lamination is available in satin or gloss to match your selected paper, providing extra protection against moisture and handling. However, lamination is not recommended for Fine Art Matt paper, as it will obscure its authentic texture.
