Excellent print quality, quick arrival. - Colin G, Worksop
Illustrated Birds mounted foamex print - lightweight, contemporary and available up to 45in x 30in.
The bold monochrome plumage and clean contemporary design make this illustration particularly well suited to wall art. Ideal for coastal homes, living rooms, home offices, or nature-inspired interiors, it creates a striking focal point while celebrating one of Britain's most impressive seabirds.
The great black-backed gull (Larus marinus) is the world's largest gull and a familiar sight along the coasts of Britain and northern Europe. Recognised by its powerful build, white head and underparts, dark slate-black wings, and heavy yellow bill with a distinctive red spot, it is a confident and adaptable seabird. Often seen patrolling beaches, rocky shores, harbours, and offshore islands, it is both a skilled scavenger and an accomplished predator.
This original digital illustration depicts a great black-backed gull standing in profile, showcasing its impressive size, bold plumage, and unmistakable features. Created using clean, contemporary shapes with layered colour and subtle feather detailing, the artwork presents this commanding seabird in a modern illustrative style that balances scientific accuracy with visual simplicity.
Enjoy a premium photographic print with three paper options, each designed to suit different lighting conditions and artistic preferences:
Each print is mounted onto black, 3mm Foamex - an ultra-durable, moisture-resistant PVC substrate that remains lightweight yet rigid. Perfect for displaying on an easel or mounting with the included Velcro strips, without the need for framing.
Supplied without a border unless otherwise specified.
Optional lamination is available in satin or gloss to match your selected paper, providing extra protection against moisture and handling. However, lamination is not recommended for Fine Art Matt paper, as it will obscure its authentic texture.
