Found sunbathing across Greece and the eastern Med, the starred agama (Stellagama stellio), also known as the roughtail rock agama, are little show-offs famous for their impressive colours and even more impressive attitude. Males especially love to puff up their throats and nod their heads when trying to look important - like tiny reptilian bodybuilders. Agamas can change colour slightly depending on their mood or the temperature, and they're brilliantly adapted to rocky, sun-blasted places like Agia Agathi Beach. You'll often spot them flattening themselves on warm stone, pretending to be casual, while keeping one eye fixed right on you. Sassy, ancient, and unbothered - they're lizards with presence.
All dark and dramatic, this agama is decked out in bold stripes and spots - yellow and blue on black like he's dressed for a nightclub in the 90s. He's climbing with intent, head turned just enough to keep one eye on you. There's tension in the pose and power in the colours. If you like your nature with a bit of edge, this one's for you.

Optional lamination is available in satin or gloss to match your selected paper, providing extra protection against moisture and handling. However, lamination is not recommended for Fine Art Matt paper, as it will obscure its authentic texture.
Starred Agama lizard foam backed prints are printed to order and usually shipped within 3-4 business days. Please allow a further 2-3 days from the despatch date to receive your item (not including weekends or bank holidays).
