Cockle shells are a familiar part of tidal shorelines across the UK, particularly on sandy flats where they live just beneath the surface. These small bivalves are uncovered as tides ebb and flow, often left scattered among seaweed and fine sediment. Seaweed, carried in by shifting currents, gathers in irregular lines and clusters, marking the movement of water across the shore. Together, shells and seaweed form a constantly changing pattern, shaped by the rhythm of the tide and the activity of coastal wildlife.
An open cockle shell rests in shallow water, its pale interior catching the light. Around it, strands of green and brown seaweed drift across the sand, while soft reflections on the wet surface add a gentle sense of movement.

Each print is mounted onto black, 3mm Foamex - an ultra-durable, moisture-resistant PVC substrate that remains lightweight yet rigid. Perfect for displaying on an easel or mounting with the included Velcro strips, without the need for framing.

Optional lamination is available in satin or gloss to match your selected paper, providing extra protection against moisture and handling. However, lamination is not recommended for Fine Art Matt paper, as it will obscure its authentic texture.

I'm absolutely made up with the print I received from Real World Art. I went for the Koi Carp image - It's very evocative and they've totally captured the serenity you feel watching Koi.
