Isle of Lewis canvas wall art - gallery wrapped and available up to 30in x 20in.
For interiors that favour calm, understated colour and clean composition, this scene works particularly well. Ideal for bedrooms, living spaces, or offices, it complements minimalist, coastal, or contemporary décor. The soft tones and open water help create a restful atmosphere without drawing too much attention.
Arnish Point Lighthouse near Stornoway in the Outer Hebrides marks an important step in lighthouse engineering history. Commonly dated to 1852, though recorded on Admiralty charts as early as 1846, it is recognised as the Northern Lighthouse Board’s first prefabricated tower. Built to guide vessels safely through the waters around the Isle of Lewis, it reflects both maritime necessity and early innovation in construction. Positioned on a low headland, it has long served as a steady reference point along this exposed stretch of coast.
Soft evening light settles across calm water as the last rays of sun catch the lighthouse, making it stand out against the muted shoreline. The gentle gradient of sky and sea creates a quiet, balanced scene, with reflections adding to the stillness.
This stretched canvas print offers a contemporary and gallery-style way to display your chosen image. Professionally produced and carefully hand finished, it combines modern print technology with traditional framing craftsmanship to create wall art designed for long-lasting colour and presence.
Your image is printed using UVgel print technology, producing vibrant colour, excellent detail and strong resistance to fading. The professional lab printing process carries a 100+ year colour guarantee, ensuring the artwork remains clear and rich for decades.
Each canvas is stretched over a solid wooden frame made from European kiln-dried knotless pine. The stretcher bars are milled with a curved profile that minimises contact with the canvas surface, helping to prevent impression marks and allowing the artwork to remain smooth and evenly tensioned.
The frame features finger-jointed corners to maintain structural strength and resist warping over time. For larger sizes, discreet tensioning wedges are added to the corners, allowing the canvas to remain taut and making future adjustment possible if required.
Every canvas is hand finished by experienced framers, ensuring clean folds and precise stretching on each corner. The 38mm deep frame gives the artwork a strong wall presence, while a choice of black, white or image wrap edges allows the final presentation to suit your space.
Stretched canvases are designed to hang directly from the wooden stretcher frame, allowing the artwork to sit flush against the wall for a clean, gallery-style finish. Simply place a nail or screw into the wall and rest the frame over it. For larger canvases, two fixings positioned either side of the centre stretcher bar provide additional stability.

I'm absolutely made up with the print I received from Real World Art. I went for the Koi Carp image - It's very evocative and they've totally captured the serenity you feel watching Koi. You can almost hear the babbling water! What's more, it's a top quality print, pin-sharp and looks great framed up. Couldn't recommend them any higher.. lovely to deal with.. thank you.
Brilliant! My print is beautiful. I initially ordered the wrong product due to my own error but Carol was so supportive and helpful I cannot recommend her/this company enough.
