Brilliant! My print is beautiful. I initially ordered the wrong product due to my own error but Carol was so supportive and helpful I cannot recommend her/this company enough. - Jonathon S, Rotherham
Scottish Islands canvas wall art - gallery wrapped and available up to 30in x 20in.
The balance between sea, sky, and distant islands makes this image well suited to interiors that favour depth and atmosphere. Ideal for living rooms, offices, or hallways, it complements neutral tones and coastal or contemporary décor. The contrast between dark water and lighter sky adds visual interest without overwhelming a space.
An early evening crossing from Mallaig to Lochboisdale in South Uist passes through waters rich in Hebridean character, with views of the Small Isles in the Inner Hebrides. To the left lies Eigg, known for its distinctive flat-topped ridge, while to the right rises Rùm, a larger and more rugged island shaped by ancient volcanic activity. These islands have long been landmarks for seafarers navigating the west coast of Scotland, their profiles visible across changing light and weather.
Darkened sea stretches toward the horizon, where Eigg sits low on the left and the higher outline of Rùm rises on the right. Heavy cloud hangs above, with a break in the sky allowing softer light to fall across the distant islands and water.
This stretched canvas print offers a contemporary and gallery-style way to display your chosen image. Professionally produced and carefully hand finished, it combines modern print technology with traditional framing craftsmanship to create wall art designed for long-lasting colour and presence.
Your image is printed using UVgel print technology, producing vibrant colour, excellent detail and strong resistance to fading. The professional lab printing process carries a 100+ year colour guarantee, ensuring the artwork remains clear and rich for decades.
Each canvas is stretched over a solid wooden frame made from European kiln-dried knotless pine. The stretcher bars are milled with a curved profile that minimises contact with the canvas surface, helping to prevent impression marks and allowing the artwork to remain smooth and evenly tensioned.
The frame features finger-jointed corners to maintain structural strength and resist warping over time. For larger sizes, discreet tensioning wedges are added to the corners, allowing the canvas to remain taut and making future adjustment possible if required.
Every canvas is hand finished by experienced framers, ensuring clean folds and precise stretching on each corner. The 38mm deep frame gives the artwork a strong wall presence, while a choice of black, white or image wrap edges allows the final presentation to suit your space.
Stretched canvases are designed to hang directly from the wooden stretcher frame, allowing the artwork to sit flush against the wall for a clean, gallery-style finish. Simply place a nail or screw into the wall and rest the frame over it. For larger canvases, two fixings positioned either side of the centre stretcher bar provide additional stability.
