Excellent print quality, quick arrival. - Colin G, Worksop
Scottish Shipwrecks aluminium dibond wall art - modern, frameless and available up to 30in x 20in.
The reflection in the water adds balance, making this a strong statement piece for interiors that appreciate detail and mood.
Just outside Salen on the Isle of Mull, two derelict fishing boats - Pavonia (built in Banff, 1955) and Elsie May (a prawn boat from Oban, late 1960s) - linger on the shoreline, abandoned when restoration plans fell through in the 1970s. A local reportedly acquired them for salvage but later abandoned the idea. These haunting relics have weathered into silent, photogenic sculptures against the backdrop of the Sound of Mull, just a short drive from Craignure en route to Tobermory. Locals call it a photographer's right-of-way - magical in the right light, but fading forever under the elements.
The closer view of my photograph brings you into the woodwork itself - the grain, the rust, the flaking paint. There's something raw and tactile here, especially with the shadowed treatment pulling out every detail. For anyone drawn to ruin and texture, this one has a quiet power.
Experience gallery-quality wall art with this premium Dibond-mounted print, designed for exceptional sharpness, durability, and a sleek modern finish. Choose from three high-quality paper options:
Each print is mounted onto a sturdy 3mm Dibond base, featuring a slim aluminium panel reinforced by a strong yet lightweight black acrylic backing. This rigid construction ensures long-lasting stability while maintaining a sleek, professional look.
The print comes complete with a hidden subframe which creates a modern floating effect when hung on the wall. Adjustable wall hangers are pre-attached, allowing for easy installation on any existing hook or screw. These hangers provide up to 10mm of adjustment both vertically and horizontally for effortless positioning.
Supplied without a border unless otherwise specified.
Optional lamination is available in satin or gloss to match your chosen paper, offering additional protection. However, lamination is not recommended for Fine Art Matt paper, as it will obscure its authentic texture.
