The Eurasian otter (Lutra lutra) is a semi-aquatic mammal found across rivers, lakes, and coastal areas throughout the UK and much of Europe. Once in decline due to pollution and habitat loss, populations have been steadily recovering in recent decades. Otters are well adapted to life in and around water, with dense, water-repellent fur, strong swimming ability, and a diet mainly consisting of fish, amphibians, and small aquatic animals.
Close to the water’s edge, the otter is shown with its head slightly raised, whiskers visible and damp fur catching the light. Optional lamination is available in satin or gloss to match your selected paper, providing extra protection against moisture and handling. However, lamination is not recommended for Fine Art Matt paper, as it will obscure its authentic texture.
