Stanage Edge, or simply Stanage (from 'stone edge') is a gritstone escarpment in the Peak District, England, famous as a location for climbing. The northern part of the edge forms the border between the High Peak of Derbyshire and Sheffield in South Yorkshire, with the highest point being High Neb at 458 metres (1,503 ft) above sea level. In the past the area was quarried to produce grindstones and some can still be seen on the hillside - carved, but never removed.
In this image, the foreground is defined by a low stone wall and wind-swept grass, leading the eye toward the rising ridge of Stanage Edge in the distance. The hillside is layered with muted tones of green, brown, and purple, while a heavy sky presses down with textured cloud. The composition creates depth and movement, with natural light subtly picking out the contours of the land and reinforcing the moody, atmospheric conditions.

Optional lamination is available in satin or gloss to match your selected paper, providing extra protection against moisture and handling. However, lamination is not recommended for Fine Art Matt paper, as it will obscure its authentic texture.
