Stanage Edge is one of the most recognisable gritstone escarpments in the Peak District, overlooking the wide expanse of the Hope Valley below. Known for its dramatic views and changing weather, the area often offers moments where light breaks through cloud to illuminate parts of the landscape. These fleeting conditions create strong contrast between shadow and colour across the valley.
The scene captures the final light of the day reaching across the Hope Valley, where a band of warm sunlight cuts through darker cloud. The foreground grasses and winding waterway add depth, while the surrounding hills remain partially in shadow. Each print is mounted onto black, 3mm Foamex - an ultra-durable, moisture-resistant PVC substrate that remains lightweight yet rigid. Perfect for displaying on an easel or mounting with the included Velcro strips, without the need for framing.

Optional lamination is available in satin or gloss to match your selected paper, providing extra protection against moisture and handling. However, lamination is not recommended for Fine Art Matt paper, as it will obscure its authentic texture.
