Plasma Globes mounted foamex print - lightweight, contemporary and available up to 30in x 20in.
The vivid colours and electric patterns create a bold and contemporary focal point, well suited to offices, studios, or interiors with a modern or tech-inspired style. Its high contrast and dynamic form add energy and visual impact.
A plasma ball contains a mixture of noble gases sealed within a glass sphere, with a high-voltage electrode at its centre. When an electrical current is applied, the gases ionise, producing glowing plasma that extends outward in branching filaments. These shifting strands respond to electrical fields and movement, creating a dynamic and constantly changing display. The original concept of the plasma lamp was developed by Nikola Tesla during his experiments with high-voltage electricity.
In this image, the plasma filaments radiate from the central electrode in vivid shades of purple and blue, forming an intricate, web-like pattern. Set against a dark background, the glowing lines stand out sharply, while the circular shape of the sphere keeps the composition clean and contained. The result is a striking balance between structure and motion.
Enjoy a premium photographic print with three paper options, each designed to suit different lighting conditions and artistic preferences:
Each print is mounted onto black, 3mm Foamex - an ultra-durable, moisture-resistant PVC substrate that remains lightweight yet rigid. Perfect for displaying on an easel or mounting with the included Velcro strips, without the need for framing.
Supplied without a border unless otherwise specified.
Optional lamination is available in satin or gloss to match your selected paper, providing extra protection against moisture and handling. However, lamination is not recommended for Fine Art Matt paper, as it will obscure its authentic texture.
