The wild red poppy, Papaver rhoeas, is an iconic annual wildflower renowned for its vibrant scarlet blooms and remarkable resilience.
Native to Eurasia and North Africa, it thrives in disturbed soils, with seeds capable of lying dormant for up to 80 years before germinating when the ground is turned.
Its fragile petals have made it a powerful symbol of remembrance since World War I, inspired by the fields of poppies that bloomed amid the devastation of Flanders, immortalised in John McCrae's poem “In Flanders Fields.â€

Supplied without a border unless otherwise specified.
Optional lamination is available in satin or gloss to match your selected paper, providing extra protection against moisture and handling. However, lamination is not recommended for Fine Art Matt paper, as it will obscure its authentic texture.
