Wild Flowers canvas wall art - gallery wrapped and available up to 18in x 12in.
The vivid red of the poppy set against soft yellow wildflowers creates a natural contrast that works beautifully in interiors. Ideal for living rooms, bedrooms, or kitchens, it suits spaces that benefit from a touch of colour without overwhelming the décor. It pairs particularly well with neutral tones, country-style settings, or modern interiors that use botanical elements.
The wild red poppy, Papaver rhoeas, is an iconic annual wildflower renowned for its vibrant scarlet blooms and remarkable resilience.
Native to Eurasia and North Africa, it thrives in disturbed soils, with seeds capable of lying dormant for up to 80 years before germinating when the ground is turned.
Its fragile petals have made it a powerful symbol of remembrance since World War I, inspired by the fields of poppies that bloomed amid the devastation of Flanders, immortalised in John McCrae's poem 'In Flanders Fields'.
Often called the corn or Flanders poppy, it represents both the fragility of life and nature's enduring renewal.
This captivating photograph showcases a single vibrant red poppy in full bloom, its delicate crinkled petals glowing in rich scarlet against a softly blurred natural background.
The flower's dark central stamens and black basal blotch create striking contrast, while surrounding yellow-green fennel-like foliage adds a gentle, airy texture.
Shot in warm, natural light with a shallow depth of field, the image evokes a serene summer meadow, highlighting the poppies' elegant simplicity and timeless beauty.
The close-up perspective draws the eye to the intricate details, making it a evocative celebration of wildflower grace.
This stretched canvas print offers a contemporary and gallery-style way to display your chosen image. Professionally produced and carefully hand finished, it combines modern print technology with traditional framing craftsmanship to create wall art designed for long-lasting colour and presence.
Your image is printed using UVgel print technology, producing vibrant colour, excellent detail and strong resistance to fading. The professional lab printing process carries a 100+ year colour guarantee, ensuring the artwork remains clear and rich for decades.
Each canvas is stretched over a solid wooden frame made from European kiln-dried knotless pine. The stretcher bars are milled with a curved profile that minimises contact with the canvas surface, helping to prevent impression marks and allowing the artwork to remain smooth and evenly tensioned.
The frame features finger-jointed corners to maintain structural strength and resist warping over time. For larger sizes, discreet tensioning wedges are added to the corners, allowing the canvas to remain taut and making future adjustment possible if required.
Every canvas is hand finished by experienced framers, ensuring clean folds and precise stretching on each corner. The 38mm deep frame gives the artwork a strong wall presence, while a choice of black, white or image wrap edges allows the final presentation to suit your space.
Stretched canvases are designed to hang directly from the wooden stretcher frame, allowing the artwork to sit flush against the wall for a clean, gallery-style finish. Simply place a nail or screw into the wall and rest the frame over it. For larger canvases, two fixings positioned either side of the centre stretcher bar provide additional stability.
