The Plaka Forest on Kos is known for its dappled light, whispering pines - and its entirely unexpected population of wild peacocks. No one really knows how they got there (rumour has it they were introduced by monks or dropped off by someone with very flamboyant taste in birds), but they've made themselves completely at home. You'll find them strutting through clearings, roosting in trees, or just casually blocking your path like feathered traffic wardens. Male peacocks with their shimmering blues and greens are hard to miss, but the white (technically leucistic) ones look like something from a fairy tale.
Photographed from the back as it turned to glance over its shoulder, this white peacock seemed caught in a moment of self-awareness - or maybe just posing. The detail in the back feathers and the twist of the neck make it a subtle but striking image. Perfect for those who love grace in unexpected places.

Optional lamination is available in satin or gloss to match your selected paper, providing extra protection against moisture and handling. However, lamination is not recommended for Fine Art Matt paper, as it will obscure its authentic texture.
