The Plaka Forest on Kos is known for its dappled light, whispering pines - and its entirely unexpected population of wild peacocks. No one really knows how they got there (rumour has it they were introduced by monks or dropped off by someone with very flamboyant taste in birds), but they've made themselves completely at home. You'll find them strutting through clearings, roosting in trees, or just casually blocking your path like feathered traffic wardens. Male peacocks with their shimmering blues and greens are hard to miss, but the white (technically leucistic) ones look like something from a fairy tale.
This peacock turned just enough for a single eye to meet the lens, feathers glowing with metallic blues, cyans, and greens. It's equal parts fierce and fabulous - the kind of look that says "this is my forest." A striking piece for someone who loves bold portraits and a bit of edge in their wildlife.

Supplied without a border unless otherwise specified.
Optional lamination is available in satin or gloss to match your selected paper, providing extra protection against moisture and handling. However, lamination is not recommended for Fine Art Matt paper, as it will obscure its authentic texture.
