Whitby Abbey has always had a dramatic presence, perched high above the Yorkshire coastline, wind-battered and steeped in history. It's famously tied to Bram Stoker's Dracula, and when you see it under a full moon, it's not hard to see why. This artwork is a composite of two of my original photographs - one of the abbey itself, and one of a full English moon - layered with care to create something moody and atmospheric. The swirling sky and stark silhouette invite you into a moment that's not quite of this world. Gothic, otherworldly, and a little bit romantic, this is for anyone who loves a darker kind of beauty.
The version warms the scene with soft clouds of pink, purple, and dusky orange. The abbey looms in deep shadow, but the sky adds a surreal beauty - like the last light before night fully takes over. Supplied without a border unless otherwise specified.
Optional lamination is available in satin or gloss to match your selected paper, providing extra protection against moisture and handling. However, lamination is not recommended for Fine Art Matt paper, as it will obscure its authentic texture.
