Ravensworth Castle, located in North Yorkshire, is a ruined medieval structure set within open countryside. Once part of a fortified manor, the remaining walls and towers reflect its former scale, while the surrounding land has returned to quiet farmland. The earliest reference to the castle records a visit from King John in 1201, however these ruins date from the late 14th century, when it belonged to Henry, 1st Baron FitzHugh.
