How to Keep Your Canvas Prints Looking Brand New for Decades

I want your canvas print to stay as vibrant on your wall in 2055 as it was the day it arrived, so here are my battle-tested, drama-free care tips (with a little British sarcasm thrown in for free).

• Treat it like a vampire - keep it out of direct sunlight UV rays are the number-one print killer. Avoid south-facing windows with no curtains, conservatory skylights, or anywhere the sun blasts all day. A bit of gentle daylight is fine - just don't let your canvas audition for a suntan.
• Look, don't poke Canvas is tougher than paper, but it still hates being prodded. Always hold the wooden stretcher bars at the sides or back. Fingerprints, fingernails and over the image = instant sad face.
• Dust it like you actually love it A quick once-over every couple of weeks with a clean, soft microfibre cloth or a feather duster keeps it pristine. No need to go full Mrs Hinch every month.
• Spill or heavy dust? Very lightly damp (almost dry) microfibre cloth + water only. Gently wipe - never scrub. That's it.
• Absolutely NO cleaning products No glass cleaner, no Flash, no baby wipes, no 'multi-surface miracle spray'. They will react with the inks and ruin the inks faster than you can say 'oops'.
• Let it breathe Canvas is a natural fabric - it likes gentle air circulation. → Never seal it in plastic bags → Never put it behind glass (unless it's UV museum glass - expensive!) Trapped moisture = mould's favourite holiday destination.
• Location, location, location Steer clear of: - kitchens (grease + steam) - bathrooms (humidity) - directly above radiators or air vents (heat + dry air = cracking)

Follow these rules and your Real World Art canvas will easily outlast whatever trend you painted the living room this year.
