Sumatran tigers are the smallest and rarest of all the tiger subspecies, and they’re only found on the Indonesian island of Sumatra. Their stripes are darker and packed more closely together than other tigers - perfect for staying hidden in the thick jungle. Sadly, they're critically endangered, with fewer than 400 left in the wild thanks to deforestation and poaching.
But even in a photo, they have real presence. There’s something magnetic about those piercing eyes and bold stripes. For me, every image of a tiger is a celebration of their strength and grace - and a gentle nudge to remember how precious and fragile the wild really is.
